The extension works on LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, and most company career pages. If you hit a site that blocks the extension from reading the page, you can paste the job description text directly in the extension popup — it works the same way.

One credit produces one tailored resume and one matching cover letter — both written for the specific job you're applying to. You download whichever formats you need (PDF, Word, HTML, or Markdown) and that's it. No hidden per-download charges.

No. Credits are yours until you use them — no monthly reset, no expiry date, no subscription to cancel.

Yes, any time from your account page. Packs are the same one-time purchases as when you signed up — there's no penalty for topping up later.

All plans include the same full AI tailoring, all download formats, and support for every job board. The differences are:

• Free Trial — 3 credits, no credit card needed
• Starter ($5.99) — 10 credits + keyword include/exclude control
• Pro ($12.99) — 25 credits + keyword control + one AI edit pass per document
• Power ($19.99) — 50 credits + keyword control + one AI edit pass per document

The AI edit pass (Pro and Power) lets you ask the AI to refine a specific bullet point, adjust the tone, or add detail before you download — without spending another credit.

FitForHire is designed to reframe and reword the experience already on your resume — not to invent qualifications. That said, like all AI systems, it can occasionally hallucinate: adding a detail, phrasing a claim too strongly, or surfacing a skill that wasn't clearly on your original resume. This is rare, but it happens.

Always review the output before you apply. You're accountable for what you submit, so treat the generated documents the same way you would a first draft from a colleague — read them, correct anything that isn't accurate, and download only what you're confident stands behind.

To reduce the risk, use keyword control (Starter, Pro, and Power plans) to explicitly list skills that should never be added to your documents, regardless of what a job posting asks for.

Pro and Power plans include one AI edit pass per document. You can describe what you want changed — "make the second bullet more concise," "adjust the opening paragraph to sound less formal," "add my promotion date to the first role" — and the AI will apply the change without you needing to spend another credit.

On all plans you can also download the document and edit it yourself in Word, Google Docs, or any text editor.

Yes — your resume template is stored securely under your account so you don't have to re-upload it every time. It's used exclusively to generate your tailored documents and is never shared or sold. You can delete it (and your entire account) at any time from your account page.

No. The extension only reads a page's text when you explicitly click "Tailor Documents." It does not monitor your browsing, track which sites you visit, or send any data in the background.

No. Your resume and the job descriptions you process are never used to train any AI model — ours or a third party's. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

From your account page, scroll to the bottom and use the "Delete account" option. This permanently removes your profile, resume template, and all generated documents. The action cannot be undone.
